Anniston, AL – M&H Valve has announced a new $7.6 million capital investment in its Anniston operations, bringing the company’s total investment in the community to more than $19 million over the past year. The projects are part of an ongoing effort to modernize equipment, improve efficiency, and strengthen manufacturing capabilities.
The latest investment builds on a previously announced $6.9 million expansion project aimed at increasing operational capacity and upgrading facility infrastructure. That expansion includes the addition of new CNC equipment, blast machinery, and an expanded production area.
In addition to these efforts, the company invested $4.9 million in 2025 to replace aging foundry equipment with advanced core-making and material handling systems. The updated technology replaced original machinery that had reached the end of its functional life, improving production reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing overall performance.
The newest $7.6 million project focuses on advanced manufacturing technology designed to improve efficiency, precision, and production flow. The automated system will replace legacy equipment that had been in service for more than two decades and is no longer supported, while also improving overall operational reliability.
Construction and installation for the various projects are currently underway, with completion expected through 2026. Company officials indicate these improvements are intended to help the facility meet increasing market demand while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance.
Anniston Mayor Ciara Smith-Roston said the continued investment reflects positively on the community and its workforce.
“This project demonstrates the strength of our workforce and the value of doing business in our community,” Smith-Roston said.
Don Hopper, Executive Director of the Calhoun County Economic Development Council, also noted the broader economic impact of the investment.
“Their investments not only strengthen operational capabilities but also sustain high-quality jobs that offer long-term career opportunities for our workforce,” Hopper said.
M&H Valve, a part of McWane Inc.’s national manufacturing network, produces components used in fire hydrants and water systems across the country. The Anniston facility employs more than 320 workers and remains a significant contributor to the local economy.
