Piedmont, AL – A 1920s-themed murder mystery dinner experience is coming to the Piedmont Museum at the Depot on Saturday, Aug. 1, offering guests an evening of interactive entertainment while supporting the Piedmont Historical Society.
The event, titled “1920’s Southern Buffalo Express: A Mystery Dinner to Die For,” will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Piedmont Museum at the Depot, located at 198 North Center Avenue in Piedmont.
Hosted by Southern Ghost Girls Tours and Paranormal Investigations in partnership with the Alabama Southern Railroad Depot Museum and other organizations, the event invites attendees to step into the year 1929 as passengers aboard the fictional Southern Buffalo Express.
According to event organizers, participants will enjoy a dinner while working together to solve a murder mystery by gathering clues, questioning suspects and unraveling secrets throughout the evening. Organizers describe the experience as an interactive adventure where every guest could be considered a suspect.
While the storyline centers on a luxurious steam locomotive, organizers note that the event takes place entirely inside the historic Piedmont Depot Museum and not aboard a moving train.
Costumes inspired by the Roaring Twenties are optional but encouraged.
Tickets are listed at $60.54 per person. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Piedmont Historical Society.
The event is open to the public, and organizers say it is suitable for date nights, family outings, celebrations and groups looking for a unique evening experience.
