This morning at approximately 10:00 the Anniston Police Department responded to the area of 1800 Parkwood Dr. regarding a possible gunshot victim. Upon arrival officers and investigators located a woman laying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, Suzann B. Freck, 38 of Anniston, was pronounced dead on the scene and a homicide investigation was started.
Investigators were able to identify a suspect, Christoper K. Key, as the gunman. Key was taken into custody and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
The Anniston Police Department is still investigating this crime and the Calhoun County Journal will release more information as it develops.
