Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston has announced that a national auto service center will be the latest addition to the Summerall Development site in North Anniston. This leading independent service provider brings a strong reputation for quality, affordability, and dependable automotive care.

City of Anniston Planning and Economic Development Director Toby Bennington expressed enthusiasm about the announcement, stating: “With this addition, we have secured our third tenant alongside ALDI and the soon-to-be-constructed Starbucks. This auto service provider will occupy Parcel 2 of the Summerall Development, further contributing to the quality infrastructure and economic momentum we’re building in North Anniston.”

Anniston City Manager Steven Folks echoed this excitement, noting the collective efforts behind the development: “This is exciting news and a clear example of what collaborative efforts can achieve. Thanks to the forward-thinking vision of our Mayor and Council, along with the dedication of City staff and our partners at Blackwater Real Estate, The Retail Coach, and ALDOT, we are proud to welcome another valuable addition to Summerall. North Anniston is on the rise, and this project helps strengthen our economic base and enhance opportunities for our citizens and the region.”

Application

The new auto service center is projected to generate approximately $1 million in annual sales, contributing over $50,000 in revenue to the city and creating more than 30 new local jobs.

The Summerall Development site continues to drive economic expansion in North Anniston. As additional tenants are confirmed, the city’s economic development team anticipates annual sales tax revenue from the site to range between $1.4 million and $2.4 million, with the creation of 300 to 400 full- and part-time jobs.

Mayor Jack Draper emphasized the long-term vision of the project: “The Summerall Subdivision is sparking dynamic growth in North Anniston. Our city is a destination for progress. Since FY18, sales tax revenue has increased by more than 5%, reflecting rising consumer confidence and sustained economic momentum. We’re excited for the future of the Summerall site and all it represents for our community.”
