Oxford, AL – Oxford Health Systems has opened a new primary care and wellness clinic at 1102 Luttrell Street, expanding access to both traditional and preventive healthcare services for Oxford residents. The facility is now accepting patients and will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Carol R. Parks and Lauren Pollard, CRNP, bring nearly five decades of combined experience to the new clinic. Parks said the goal is to create a setting where patients feel genuinely supported. “We wanted to create a place where people feel known, heard, and cared for,” she said. “This isn’t a rushed, impersonal health care experience. It’s a model designed to give people the kind of care they deserve – thoughtful and patient-centered around their overall wellness.”
Oxford Health Systems Primary Care/Wellness offers a dual approach, providing both standard primary care and an array of wellness services. These include annual physicals, chronic illness management, minor injury care, IV hydration therapy, GLP-1 and peptide therapy, Botox and medical aesthetics, and InBody body composition analysis.
According to Tom Dixon, Executive Director of Health and CEO of Oxford Health Systems, the new clinic also plays a role in supporting the city’s emergency medical infrastructure. “Revenue generated from Oxford Health Systems Primary Care helps offset the cost of providing emergency medical services to the city of Oxford through Oxford Health Systems Paramedics,” he noted. “That means when someone chooses this clinic for their family’s care, they are also helping strengthen Oxford’s emergency medical response system.”
The clinic is open Mondays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments may be scheduled by calling 256-470-9998. An expansion to seven days a week is planned for January. Most insurance providers are accepted.
Oxford Health Systems operates as the healthcare delivery arm of the Health Care Authority of the City of Oxford, an independent municipal agency established by the Oxford City Council in 2020.
