Local museum brings interactive puzzle experience to history enthusiasts
ANNISTON, AL – History buffs and puzzle enthusiasts alike will have a new adventure to tackle this weekend as the Anniston Museums and Gardens unveils its latest interactive experience: “Medieval Mysteries,” a castle-themed escape room challenge at the Berman Museum.
The immersive experience opens this Saturday, May 17th, with sessions beginning at 10:00 AM. According to museum organizers, participants will find themselves locked in mysterious castle chambers and must solve a series of historical puzzles and riddles to discover a hidden passage before time runs out.
“Visitors will step into medieval times and use their wits to decipher cryptic scrolls and uncover long-buried secrets,” said a representative from Anniston Museums and Gardens. “It’s an engaging way to connect with history through interactive problem-solving.”
The escape room accommodates groups of two to six participants per session, with a price of $60 per group. Museum members receive a $5 discount. The experience is designed for ages 10 and older, with adult participation required for children between 10-16 years old.
Event organizers note that pre-registration is required, and multiple time slots are available beyond the opening session. The escape room ticket does not include admission to the Berman Museum’s regular exhibit galleries.
The Berman Museum, located at Museum Drive in Anniston, has been a cultural landmark in Calhoun County for decades, housing significant historical collections. This new escape room experience represents the museum’s ongoing efforts to create engaging, educational programming for visitors of all ages.
