Work Session
A discussion was held on the public hearings on tonight’s agenda. Ms. Brittain will not be able to attend. There were no major concerns with any other properties scheduled.
The sale of the Old Coldwater Fire Station property was discussed. The proceeds will go to the new location provided but the county.
There were several items to be added to the consent agenda that were just brought up the week. The multi-jurisdictional mitigation plan is one of the items. Myles Chamblee explained having this plan in place meets FEMA requirements. It does not mean the plan has to be implemented at this time.
Councilwoman Hubbard wanted to speak about the Solid Waste Plan presented by Bill Bunn. This plan is a ten year plan and is tentative. This plan is required to apply for grants. It was presented by Bill Bunn and included statistics on what has been collected as well as the ten year plan itself.
