Oxford, AL – The Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine will return to Oxford for its second year, offering a unique and memorable experience for individuals with special needs. The event, designed as a prom for those aged 14 and older, will take place on February 7th, 2025, at the Oxford Civic Center from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
According to Ashley and Daley Grace Alford, the event organizers, this year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever. “Night to Shine is a special needs prom for individuals 14 and older. This will actually be our second year hosting it in the city of Oxford, and this year it’s going to be at the Oxford Civic Center on February 7th from 6 PM to 9 PM,” said Ashley. “We are still open to accepting volunteers and special guests to register, and that information can be accessed through the First Baptist Church of Oxford website, where you can look up upcoming events and find the link to the registration and website.”
When asked about the event preparations, Daley Grace Alford explained that volunteers are needed both before and on the day of the event. “We would love to have people help with setting up the day before the event, the evening before the event on the sixth,” she said. “You can get information for that through the church office at First Baptist Church of Oxford. And on the night of the event, we have so many wonderful opportunities for people to serve, whether it be in the respite room or the sensory room or honestly just as buddies greeting the guests, welcoming the guests, being paparazzi to take tons of pictures for us or videos and then just dancing and interacting with all of our special guests from the community.”
In addition to the fun activities and support during the event, Ashley and Daley Grace also highlighted the special gifts that will be available for all guests. “We will also be having special gifts or gift bags available for all of our wonderful special guests in the community,” Ashley shared. “So if there are local businesses that may not be able to get involved and serve on the night of the event, but would like to donate something to the gift bag, that would be excellent and well received, and that can also be communicated through the church office.”
The Night to Shine event provides a safe and joyful environment where guests are celebrated, and every individual feels like a star. Volunteers, special guests, and local businesses are encouraged to be a part of this wonderful community event.
