Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Beautification Board (CCBB) is once again seeking to honor outstanding citizens and businesses who have contributed to the beauty and enhancement of Calhoun County. With a legacy spanning over two decades, the CCBB has been at the forefront of recognizing and celebrating the efforts of individuals and organizations dedicated to making Calhoun County a more beautiful place to live, work, and play.

Comprising ten dedicated members, each appointed by the Calhoun County Commission, the CCBB operates with the mission of fostering a sense of pride and community spirit through various beautification initiatives. Supported by the Calhoun County Extension Office, which serves as an advisor to the Board, the CCBB plays a vital role in preserving and enhancing the natural and built environment of the county.

For over two decades, the CCBB has proudly presented awards to deserving citizens and businesses whose efforts have significantly contributed to the beautification and improvement of Calhoun County. From community gardens to sustainable landscaping projects, from public art installations to litter cleanup initiatives, the CCBB recognizes a diverse range of endeavors aimed at enhancing the county’s aesthetic appeal and quality of life.

Now, as we enter the year 2024, the CCBB is calling for nominations or applications for the prestigious awards. This is an opportunity for the community to shine a spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to beautifying Calhoun County.

Nominations for the 2024 awards are now being solicited, and interested individuals are encouraged to submit their entries before the deadline on May 31, 2024. Whether you know an individual, organization, or business that has made a significant impact on the beautification efforts in Calhoun County, now is the time to nominate them for recognition.

The nomination/application process is simple and accessible to all members of the community. The application form can be found below, and submissions can be made online or via mail.
