Coosa County, AL — A single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning, April 26, has claimed the life of an Ohatchee man, according to authorities.
David P. Sharp, 56, was critically injured when the 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Sharp was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on U.S. 231 near the 191 mile marker, roughly two miles north of Rockford in Coosa County.
Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident. No additional information has been released at this time.
