AL-Based FabArc Steel Supply Completes $200 Million+ Contract for Amplify Manufacturing Facility

OXFORD, AL — FabArc Steel Supply, Inc., Alabama’s largest steel subcontractor and an AISC-certified fabrication facility, has announced the successful completion of the steel structure phase for Amplify, a major manufacturing facility located in Byhalia, Mississippi. The project represents the largest contract in FabArc’s history—valued at over $200 million—and underscores the company’s capacity to deliver large-scale, complex industrial projects. The project owner is Amplify Cell Technologies.

“This project represents a true team effort, not just within FabArc Steel Supply but across all of our partners,” said Donnie Bragg, Project Manager at FabArc Steel Supply. “The scale of this project required everyone’s expertise, and I am incredibly proud of the dedication and precision our team demonstrated to bring this facility to life.”

The Amplify project involved more than 28,000 tons of structural steel, including W14×500 columns and W40×655 beams—among the heaviest standard shapes produced in North America. The Oxford-based fabrication company also delivered roof trusses exceeding 80 feet in length, 9 feet in depth, and weighing up to 40,000 pounds each. At peak production, FabArc shipped more than 120 truckloads weekly—half to an outside paint facility and half directly to the jobsite.

Between February and July 2025, FabArc used over 100,000 pounds of weld wire to produce an estimated 2,300 miles of shop welds. Yates Construction served as the lead contractor, with Ovation Services as the detailer, JT Thorpe as the painter, Bracken Construction as the erector, and CoreBrace as the BRB brace manufacturer.
