Oxford-Based FabArc Steel Supply Expands Into Decatur Through Agreement With Turner Industries

Oxford, AL-Based FabArc Steel Supply Expands with New Decatur Facility

DECATUR, AL — FabArc Steel Supply, Inc. and Turner Industries have announced a lease-purchase agreement involving Turner Industries’ fabrication facility in Decatur, marking a new expansion effort for the Oxford-based company in the Tennessee Valley region.

The agreement includes Turner Industries’ fabrication facility located at 127 Old Highway 24 in Decatur. The property features more than 60,000 square feet of fabrication space situated on approximately 29 acres. Company officials said the agreement is intended to support long-term operational growth and investment in the region.

According to the announcement, FabArc Steel Supply is expanding operations as demand continues to increase across the national economy. As part of the transition process, the company has onboarded approximately 35 employees connected to the facility’s fabrication operations to help maintain continuity and preserve workforce expertise in the area.

Stephen Toups, Chief Executive Officer of Turner Industries, said the company will continue maintaining a presence in the Tennessee Valley despite transitioning away from its current Decatur office structure.

“After several years in our Decatur office, we are transitioning to a flexible, region-wide operational model,” Toups said. “Our address in the area will change, but our commitment to the Tennessee Valley and our clients in the region is as strong as ever. We will continue supporting the industry and surrounding communities in the same way we have for over a decade.”

Tom Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer of FabArc Steel Supply, described the agreement as both a strategic expansion and the beginning of a broader relationship between the two companies.

“We view this agreement as more than a strategic expansion, it marks the beginning of a strong and lasting relationship between FabArc and Turner Industries,” Adams said. “This opportunity allows us to build on an established foundation in Decatur while continuing to deliver high-quality fabrication services to our clients. We are confident this partnership will create lasting value for both companies and the communities we serve.”

Under the agreement, FabArc will lease the facility with an option to purchase the property at the end of the lease term. Turner Industries will continue to retain access to the facility as needed to support existing contracted work and ongoing client projects during the transition period.

The transition is expected to be completed by May 11, 2026.

Company officials stated the agreement reflects both organizations’ continued investment in regional industry, workforce continuity, and future economic development throughout the Tennessee Valley.
