    • Public Hearing – to consider a zoning request from The RTR Living Trust – Garey Morrison to rezone property located at 1870 Bynum Boulevard from General Business District (GB) to Light Manufacturing District (M-1) – No Comments

    • Public Hearing – to consider a zoning request from Stan Bush – PAC Enterprises to rezone property located at 2005 Barry Street from General Manufacturing District (M-2) to Planned Development 3 District (PD-3) – No Comments 

    • Ordinance No. 2024- 10 – Ordinance rezoning property located at 1870 Bynum Boulevard from General Business District (GB) to Light Manufacturing District (M-1) – Unanimously Approved

      • Beginning at a point on the south line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 16, Range 6, Calhoun County, Alabama, which beginning point is 825 feet west of the Southeast corner of said forty acre tract: Thence from said starting point southwest 45 feet; thence north 282 feet, more or less, to the south line of Bankhead Highway (no Bynum Boulevard); thence in an easterly direction along said line 265 feet to a drainage ditch; thence in a southwesterly direction along said ditch to the point of beginning. Being and situated in the northeast quarter of northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 16, Range 6, Calhoun County, Alabama.

    • Ordinance No. 2024- 11 – Ordinance rezoning property located at 2005 Barry Street from General Manufacturing District (M-2) to Planned Development 3 District (PD-3) – Unanimously Approved

      • Lot 2, in Block 2, according to the map or plat of the “S. E. Boozer Subdivision of a portion of the SE ¼ of SW ¼ Section 30, T16S, R8E and a portion of NE ¼ of NW ¼ Section 31, T16S, R8E” as recorded in Plat Book C, at page 44, in the Probate office of Calhoun County, Alabama; situated, lying and being in Calhoun County, Alabama. Parcel No. 21-09-30-3-001-066.000 (PIN: 17398)

    • Consent Agenda: – Unanimously Approved

      • Resolution No. 2024- 40  – Resolution awarding the bid and authorizing a contract for electrical modifications to provide Video Board Utility Services for the Baseball Signature Field and the Park Entry at Choccolocco Park to Acker Electric Company in the total amount of $92,784.00

      • Resolution No. 2024- 41 – Resolution declaring certain vehicles/equipment surplus and authorizing their sale/disposal.

      • Resolution No. 2024- 42 – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement establishing the East Central Alabama Purchasing Association (ECAPA)

        • The Mayor be authorized to execute an intergovernmental agreement establishing the East Central Alabama  Purchasing Association for the purpose of coordinating cooperative joint purchases for the mutual economic advantage of its members
      • Resolution No. 2024- 43 – Resolution appointing Jeremiah Holt to the Oxford Water Works Board.

  • Council Comments/Reports

    • Councilman Henson noted the losses of three members of the Oxford Community since last council meeting. He also noted the opening of the pickleball courts.
    • Councilman Waites welcomed Jeremiah Holt to the Oxford Water Works Board.
    • Councilman Spurlin echoed Councilman Waits comments.
