Oxford Festival of Lights Offers $15 Carload Tickets During October Snowfall Promotion

Festival of Lights

OXFORD, AL. — The Festival of Lights will return to Choccolocco Park on November 20, 2026, bringing six weeks of holiday displays, seasonal activities, and family entertainment to Oxford. Ahead of the opening, organizers are offering discounted admission through an October ticket promotion.

The annual holiday attraction announced its Snowfall promotion, which allows visitors to purchase advance carload tickets for the drive-through Christmas Light Show for $15 throughout October. Those who purchase tickets during the promotional period will also be entered into a drawing for a VIP Festival of Lights package.

Regular admission prices will take effect in November, with tickets costing $20 per vehicle Monday through Thursday and $25 per vehicle Friday through Sunday.

“We want to give families an opportunity to plan ahead and save while also getting everyone excited for the holiday season,” said Oxford Mayor Alton Craft. “October is the best time to purchase your tickets and get ready for Festival of Lights.”

The event features a drive-through Christmas light display extending more than 1.5 miles, with illuminated holiday scenes and decorations throughout the route. Visitors can also park and explore Santa’s Village, which offers additional activities and seasonal attractions.

Santa’s Village will include free photos with Santa, hot apple cider, gourmet fudge, food vendors, Christmas movies and music, and a mailbox where children can send letters to Santa. The village will also feature Frosty’s Snow Playground.

One of the event’s attractions is snow tubing, made possible through SnowMagic snowmaking technology. According to organizers, the system freezes water into small snow crystals that resemble natural snow without using chemicals, additives, or artificial materials. The technology allows visitors to participate in snow-related activities even when outdoor temperatures are above freezing.

Additional activities, including snow tubing, inflatables, and skating, will be available through wristband purchases. The first wristband costs $20, with additional wristbands available for $10 each.

The 2026 Festival of Lights will operate from November 20 through December 31, opening nightly at 5 p.m. The attraction will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Tickets can be purchased online at oxfordlights.com or at the entrance during the event. The discounted $15 carload admission is available only through advance purchases made during October.

Festival of Lights is located at Choccolocco Park, 954 Leon Smith Parkway, Oxford, Alabama.

First Bank of Alabama is the event sponsor.
