Oxford, AL – The Oxford Festival of Lights is preparing to launch its sixth season this year with expanded attractions, extended hours, and new ways for families to enjoy the holiday tradition.
Set at Choccolocco Park, the festival will once again feature more than 2.5 million holiday lights arranged in festive displays along the drive-through route. At the conclusion of the tour, visitors can enter Santa’s Village, which will include two new snow-themed venues for the 2025 season.
New Attractions

Snow Mountain Tubing: A multi-lane, 20-foot snow slide designed to bring winter fun to the South.

Frosty’s Playground: An interactive snow play area where children can build snowmen, make snow angels, and enjoy snowball games.
Extended Schedule
This year’s festival will run from November 21, 2025, through January 4, 2026, with expanded weekday daytime hours and weekend access to Santa’s Village from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Tickets & Promotions
Passes for the Oxford Festival of Lights will be available at oxfordlights.com starting October 1. Tickets purchased during October will be discounted to $20 and will automatically enter buyers into the “Golden Ticket” drawing, with the winner receiving an all-expense pass to the drive-through and Santa’s Village.
Community Impact
Since its launch, the festival has welcomed nearly 250,000 visitors. Special events coordinator Madison Gardner noted the growing popularity:
“Over the past five years, we have had almost 250,000 come through the show. We are looking forward to being bigger and better this year with more to do and the opportunity to come multiple times. We look forward to seeing everyone there and making memories with this special holiday experience.”
The event continues with support from First Bank of Alabama, the primary sponsor for the festival.
