Oxford Fire Department Responds Swiftly to Commercial Vehicle Fire on I-20

Oxford, AL – On Wednesday evening, the Oxford Fire Department sprang into action following reports of a commercial vehicle fire just east of the 179 Exit on Interstate 20. The incident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m., prompted a rapid response from firefighters, who swiftly worked to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of all travelers in the area.

As emergency crews arrived at the scene, motorists were urged to exercise caution, with firefighters closing all but one lane of the affected stretch of highway. The diligent efforts of the Oxford Fire Department helped to mitigate potential hazards and alleviate traffic congestion during the incident.
