Oxford Library Continues Tradition of a Literary Pumpkin Contest

Oxford Pumpkins

Oxford, AL – The staff’s pumpkin decorating contest is a time-honored tradition. During the month of October, staff will bring in pumpkins decorated as favorite book characters. The pumpkins and their book companions will be on display throughout the month of October in the circulation area. They hope you will come into the library and vote on your favorite. They keep the identity of the staff member that made each pumpkin a secret, until all the votes are in and counted. This contest is fun for the staff and patrons alike, so much so, that they bring it back year after year.
