Oxford Man Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Alabama 202

Calhoun County – A two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Monday evening, February 3, resulted in the death of an Oxford man, according to authorities.

Herbert M. Blair, 61, was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2016 Nissan Maxima driven by Norma T. Herrera, 37, of Anniston. Following the initial collision, Blair was struck again by a 2017 Honda HR-V driven by Michelle L. Gamble, 34, of Heflin.

Blair was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Alabama 202 near the 3-mile marker, about three miles west of Anniston.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident. No further details are available at this time.
