Oxford, AL – The Oxford Performing Arts Center will welcome audiences for a musical journey through one of the most influential decades in modern music when it hosts “Neil Berg’s The 60’s – Peace, Love, and Rock & Roll” on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the center, located at 100 E. Choccolocco St, Oxford, AL 36203, and is presented by C.A.R.E.S.
The concert production, created by composer, arranger, and producer Neil Berg, highlights music and stories from artists who helped shape the cultural and musical identity of the 1960s. The two-hour performance will feature songs associated with legendary performers such as The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, and The Doors, among others.
Organizers say the production blends live music with historical storytelling to reflect how the music of the 1960s mirrored a rapidly changing world. The era, often associated with the cultural movement surrounding Woodstock and broader social change, helped define a generation and continues to influence artists today.
According to event organizers, the show aims to capture the spirit of the decade through both the iconic songs and the stories behind them. Audiences can expect performances that highlight the evolution of rock, soul, and pop music during a period when music became closely tied to cultural and social movements.
The performance is part of the Oxford Performing Arts Center’s ongoing lineup of touring concerts and special presentations designed to bring nationally recognized productions to the region.
Tickets and additional event information are available through the Oxford Performing Arts Center.
