Oxford Police to Participate in Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser for Special Olympics Alabama

Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics Alabama

Oxford, AL – On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, officers from the Oxford Police Department will step into a new role—serving tables at Texas Roadhouse in Oxford—as part of the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Alabama.

From 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., officers will work alongside restaurant staff to greet and serve guests, with the goal of raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes. The event invites patrons to make donations in support of children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in year-round athletic training and competitions across the state.

The Tip-A-Cop initiative is part of a broader effort led by law enforcement agencies nationwide to support Special Olympics programs. All donations collected during the evening will go directly to Special Olympics Alabama.

For those unable to attend the event in person, online donations can be made at https://donorbox.org/texas-roadhouse-tip-a-cop.
