OXFORD, AL — The Oxford Public Library is inviting the community to “Color Our World” this summer through a dynamic lineup of activities, classes, and programs as part of its 2025 Summer Reading Program, beginning May 27 and running through July 11.
Designed to show that reading is more than just turning pages, the program offers a broad array of experiences for participants of all ages. Children can explore everything from science experiments to art workshops and enjoy movie screenings inspired by beloved literary works. Adults are encouraged to take part in sessions ranging from quilting and computer skills to Tai Chi.
“This is going to be the biggest and best one ever,” said Oxford Public Library Director Amy Henderson. “Join the library as we learn to Color Our World. There will be lots of art programs, including a presentation from a visiting Smithsonian artist from New York, along with many other types of reading fun for all ages.”
The annual summer initiative aims to encourage lifelong learning and creativity, turning the library into a vibrant hub of activity throughout the season.
Pre-registration and more details are available at www.oxfordpl.org/srp. The Oxford Public Library is located at 110 East 6th Street in Oxford.
