OXFORD, AL — Families across the region are invited to attend the free “Embrace What Matters Family Fun Night” on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at CREATE, located at 1 Cliff Garrett Drive in Oxford.
The event is being hosted by Oxford City Schools in partnership with Cleburne County, Jacksonville City and Calhoun County Schools through their Mental Health Service Coordinators.
According to event organizers, the evening will feature guest Joy Winchester and her dog Goose while also providing opportunities for families to learn more about local mental health and family support resources available throughout the community.
The family-focused event will also include free pizza on a first-come, first-served basis, door prizes, rock painting and additional activities for children and attendees of all ages.
Organizers say the event will also give families a chance to explore CREATE, the regional workforce development center, and learn more about educational and career opportunities available to area students.
The event is open to the public, and organizers encourage families from throughout the region to attend.
