Oxford, AL – Oxford’s Show Choir, known as “Sound,” had a triumphant weekend at the Mississippi State Show Choir Contest. The talented ensemble emerged victorious in various categories, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication to their craft.
In the competitive Small Division, Oxford “Sound” claimed the prestigious 1st Place title, demonstrating their musical prowess and stage presence. The choir’s dedication to artistic expression and attention to detail was further recognized as they secured the award for Best Costumes, a testament to their commitment to creating a visually stunning and cohesive performance.
The spotlight was not only on the collective success but also on individual success. Cason Hudgins, a standout performer in the show, was bestowed with the title of Best Performer in a Show.
Beyond the musical and visual aspects, Oxford “Sound” also received the River Road Award, recognizing their outstanding character and sportsmanship.
