Oxford to Partner with Castrol and RFK Racing for Community Cleanup

Earth Day Clean-Up in Oxford,

Oxford Spokeswoman, Lorie Denton wanted to share that in conjunction with the Nascar Cup Series Geico 500 held at Talladega Superspeedway later this month, the city of Oxford is excited for the opportunity to partner with both Castrol and Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing (RFK) for a community cleanup event. April 22, which is also Earth Day, falls on the Friday before Sunday’s Geico 500. Fans are invited to join in the efforts by posting pictures to Instagram of their own personal clean- up efforts across the country leading up to and in the two weeks following the race with the hashtag #drivingforchange. One lucky participant will win Brad Keselowski’s race-worn, iconic white firesuit and replica helmet.
“We’re thrilled to work with both Castrol and RFK to help make Oxford, Ala., even more beautiful,” said Alton Craft, Mayor of Oxford, Alabama. “We hope that our efforts can help inspire fans across the country to chip in – a chance for them to win Brad’s white firesuit doesn’t hurt, either!” The city of Oxford remains committed to maintain a clean and beautiful community through the efforts of Keep Oxford Beautiful, a partnership with Keep Alabama Beautiful.
