Oxford, AL – The City of Oxford is ushering in the 2025 holiday season with a full calendar of festive events for families, residents, and visitors to enjoy.
The 2025 Festival of Lights at Choccolocco Park begins its annual run on Friday, November 21. Full ticket details and scheduling information are available at oxfordfestivaloflights.com.
On Saturday, December 6, the Oxford City Schools Education Foundation will host its 16th annual “Breakfast with Santa” at Oxford High School. Tickets are $10 and three seating times are offered: 8–9 a.m., 9:15–10:15 a.m., and 10:30–11:30 a.m. Guests will enjoy IHOP pancakes and sausage served by volunteer “elves,” followed by opportunities for photos with Santa and other beloved characters including Frosty, Rudolph, Elsa, Olaf, the Grinch, and Beauty and the Beast. Each child will also receive a free Christmas book. Tickets may be purchased at ocsef.ticketbud.com.
The Oxford Christmas Parade, organized by the Oxfordfest Committee, will take place on Thursday, December 11 at 6 p.m. The route will proceed up Choccolocco Street, continue along Main Street, and conclude on Snow Street. Applications for parade entries are open through three days before the event and can be found at oxfordfest.org.
Oxford Parks and Recreation will host its annual Christmas Senior Dance on Friday, December 12, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Oxford Civic Center. Entertainment will be provided by Ryan Robertson and Alabama Rain, and the $5 admission includes a light meal and door prize opportunities. For details, call 256-831-2660.
Families can also enjoy “Cookies at the Course” at Cider Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, December 13 from 5–7 p.m., featuring sweet treats, hot cocoa, and photo opportunities with Santa.
The Oxford Performing Arts Center will once again host its 12th Annual Holiday Film Festival, showcasing four classic Christmas favorites — all free to attend:
