Oxford, AL – The City of Oxford and the Oxford Police and Fire Departments recently hosted a remarkable event that left an indelible mark on the community, as “Public Safety Night Out” proved to be a resounding success. On Tuesday, October 24th, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Oxford Exchange became the backdrop for a night filled with celebration, education, and community unity.

 

“Public Safety Night Out” was conceived as a unique opportunity for the community to come together and gain a deeper appreciation for the essential work of local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and medical professionals. It was an event that welcomed families, individuals of all ages, and everyone interested in connecting with the dedicated individuals who play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of the community.

Attendees were treated to a wide array of interactive displays that showcased the latest equipment and technology used by these first responders. This hands-on experience allowed guests to step inside a fire truck, explore the interior of a police car, and get up close to an ambulance and even a helicopter.
