Piedmont, AL — The Piedmont Police Department is pleased to welcome Officer Kelly Stephens Souder as the newest member of the department. Officer Stephens will be undergoing Field Training Officer (FTO) instruction and TASSRO (The Alabama Association of School Resource Officers) training over the coming months as she prepares to serve as the next School Resource Officer for the Piedmont City School System.
With a recently earned Master’s Degree in Emergency Management, Officer Stephens brings a strong educational foundation and a deep commitment to public safety. Her role will involve working closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.
Officer Stephens is eager to make a positive impact by being actively involved in the schools and the broader Piedmont community. Her goal is to combine education and safety, helping to protect students while also serving as a mentor and resource.
