Piedmont to Host 4th Annual Strawberry Festival on Chief Ladiga Trail May 10, 2025

Strawberry Festival

Piedmont, AL – The 4th Annual Piedmont Strawberry Festival is set for Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the scenic Chief Ladiga Trail in downtown Piedmont. Organizers are excited to continue the cherished tradition, even as local farmers face a challenging season.

Due to a widespread crop disease affecting strawberries nationwide, local strawberry farmers are struggling. While fresh berries may be harder to come by this year, festival organizers emphasized their commitment to supporting the farming community by moving forward with the event. Farmers will bring other locally grown produce and plants to help supplement their seasons and offer festivalgoers fresh, homegrown goods.

Festival favorites will return, including the Little Miss and Tiny Miss Strawberry contests, bringing adorable fun to the day’s festivities. New this year, Pinhoti Pizza Company will sponsor a cash prize pizza box building competition, promising creative and tasty excitement.

A fantastic lineup of live entertainment is planned, along with a great variety of arts and crafts vendors and food trucks. Organizers have capped participation at 75 vendors and 15 food trucks, and encourage those interested in securing a spot to register early. Vendor information, including sponsorship opportunities, can be obtained by contacting kevin@exitfoothills.com. A vendor welcome packet with details on parking, setup, schedules, and takedown will be sent out one week prior to the event.

Additionally, the popular “Best Strawberry-Themed Vendor Booth” contest will return, with the winning booth receiving a $50 gift card. Vendors should note that the City of Piedmont requires a city license to sell items within city limits; the vendor application fee includes the business license for merchants, with the exception of food trucks.

The Strawberry Festival is free to attend and will feature live music, food, crafts, and plenty of family fun. Visitors are encouraged to bring their bikes, hiking shoes, and kites to enjoy the Chief Ladiga Trail and the beautiful outdoor spaces surrounding downtown Piedmont.

Special guest Master of Ceremonies, Calhoun County Commissioner Barry Robertson, will be on hand to help lead the festivities and keep the energy high throughout the day.

Make plans now to celebrate spring, community spirit, and local agriculture at the 2025 Piedmont Strawberry Festival on May 10!
