Lineville, AL – Anniston boys victorious at Central-Clay. Ohatchee, Piedmont, Alexandria, Jacksonville Christian get boy-girl sweeps. Hope Christian boys down FACS. Jacksonville girls roll at RCHS.

 

Dakyus Baker scored a team-high 12 points, all in the first half, and Anniston’s boys beat Central-Clay 45-34 on Monday on the road. He hit two 3-pointers.

JaKorie Carr added 10 points, and Caleb Ackles added eight points, all in the first half.

Central-Clay’s Braxden Young scored a game-high 13 points, hitting three threes.

OHATCHEE 50, PLEASANT VALLEY 48: Jake Roberson scored a team-high 19 points, and Ohatchee’s boys held off Pleasant Valley 50-48 on Monday.

Roberson scored 10 first-quarter points and nine in the fourth.

Alston Carroll added eight points, and the Indians got seven apiece from Brayden Collins, Jayden Heard and Colby Hester.

Pleasant Valley’s Hunter Sparks led all scorers with 21 points. Braxton Salster and Jake Barnwell added eight apiece.

PIEDMONT 58, WHITE PLAINS 48: Piedmont got 15 points apiece from Taylon Swain and Colton Proctor and improved to 3-0.

Rollie Pinto added 13 points.

White Plains got 14 points from William Graham and 10 from Crew Martin.

ALEXANDRIA 69, TALLADEGA 44: Cole Wheeler hit two 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 16 points, and Alexandria improved to 4-0.

Jaylen Henderson added 15 points, Quendavion McDowell 12 and J.J. Beason 10.

Jaden Curry led Talladega with 11 points. Ronson Moten added 10 and Jykavien Wright eight.

JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 89, WELLBORN 85: Noah Lee scored 30 points to go with 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead JCA to victory.

Jesse Gannaway added 18 points with four assists and three steals, and Bryson Dowdey’s 17 points came with seven steals and five assists.

Moses Averette added 10 points.

HOPE CHRISTIAN 63, FIRST ASSEMBLY 33: Aziah Amberson hit four 3-pointers on the way to 23 points to lead Hope.

Eli Bozeman added eighth points, and Hope got seven points apiece from Van Cottrill and Garrett Danford.

FACS got eight points apiece from Bryce Sasser, Garrison Williams and Preston Williams.

Girls

ALEXANDRIA 64, TALLADEGA 53; Landry Patterson hit three 3-pointers on the way to a team-high 18 points, and Alexandria won.

Charlee Parris added 16 points, and Samira Duncan scored 11.

The Valley Cubs also got nine points from Jacee Brooks and eight from Cali Hess.

Talladega’s Zae Cunningham hit nine of 11 free throws on the way to a game-high 21 points. Destiny Twymon added nine.

JACKSONVILLE 69, RANDOLPH COUNTY 18: Jayci Taylor poured in 26 points, and the Golden Eagles held the Tigers scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Taylor hit four 3-pointers. She also had five steals.

Alexis Phillips added 14 points to go with six assists, seven rebounds and seven steals. Ontarriah Braxton added 10 points with six rebounds and seven steals.

Anna Grace Henderson and Lakaiyah Baker each scored seven points to lead Randolph County.

OHATCHEE 46, PLEASANT VALLEY 26: Tabi Davidson and Greenlee Orman scored 10 points apiece to lead Ohatchee.

The Indians also got seven points apiece from Lindsey Zurchin and Emily Riddle.

Pleasant Valley’s Lily Robinson scored a game-high 12 points.

PIEDMONT 61, WHITE PLAINS 20: Cayla Brothers led a balance scoring effort for Piedmont (2-4) with 11 points, and the Bulldogs got 10 apiece from Miyah Thomas and Morgan Studdard.

Josie Young added nine points, and Carson Young hit two 3-pointers en route to eight points.

Brooksly Thielker led White Plains with nine points, and Savannah Phillips added eight.

JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 40, WELLBORN 12: Modasti Carr led the way for the Thunder with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.K,B. Hudson added seven points and six rebounds, the JCA (4–3) got five points, seven rebounds, five steals and four assists from Sophie Williams.

CENTRAL-CLAY 35, ANNISTON 27: Central-Clay’s Zykeria Heflin led all scorers with 16 points, and Jayda Fomby led Anniston with 10. Anniston’s Saniyah Spinks and Liberty Lewis and Central-Clay’s Mia Lindsey each had five points.
