Jacksonville, AL – Join the city in sprucing up the city by participating in thier Main Street Cleanups. Volunteers will gather at City Hall, located at 320 Church Avenue SE, starting at 8 a.m. Grab your neighbors and organize a spring cleanup in your neighborhood! The top two groups with the most participants will each win $100.
The same day will be free landfill day 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Jacksonville-Piedmont Landfill. Is clutter taking over your home? Are you wondering what to do with old paint cans, sensitive documents, or other unwanted items? Look no further!
*Please note: Construction debris is not included, and this offer is exclusively for Jacksonville residents.
Dispose of sensitive documents safely and securely with a document shredder sponsored by RMC. Each vehicle can drop off up to six standard-size bags or boxes at City Hall from 8 a.m. to noon.
Dispose of various items including cardboard, paper, plastic, electronics (excluding monitors and televisions), batteries, and paint cans. Drop off your recyclables and trash at City Hall between 8 a.m. and noon.
This cleanup event is made possible by the collaborative efforts of the City of Jacksonville, Calhoun County Landfill, the Calhoun County Commission, Jacksonville State University, Anniston Regional Medical Center, and the Keep Alabama Beautiful Program.
