Anniston, AL – The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will host a hands-on “Pressure Canning with Janet” workshop on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Calhoun County Administration Building – Extension Auditorium, 1702 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201.
Participants will learn safe pressure-canning techniques in a guided, practical setting. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dial gauge for accuracy testing and bring food preservation questions. Each participant will prepare and take home a product as part of the class.
The workshop fee is $15, lunch is provided, and space is limited to 20 participants. To register, visit the Extension office at 1702 Noble St., Suite 108 with a check or money order. Please pre-register by August 1 for meal planning.
