Calhoun County, AL – Swine enthusiasts and livestock aficionados are gearing up for the highly anticipated PV Southern Stars Swine Showdown, scheduled to take place at the Calhoun County Ag Center on 4500 Bynum Leatherwood Rd, Anniston, AL 36206. The event, organized by PV Southern Stars, promises a day filled with spirited competition and showcases of top-tier swine.

Sanctioned by the Alabama Junior Swine Association, the Swine Showdown boasts a comprehensive schedule of events designed to showcase the skills and breeding excellence of participants. The renowned Judge Kent Bennington will preside over the competitions.
The day’s schedule is as follows:
– Saturday, Nov 18th:
– 10:00 am – Showmanship: Participants will vie for top honors under the discerning eye of Judge Kent Bennington. Entry fee is $15, with a late registration fee of $25.
– 30 minutes after Showmanship – Swine Show: This main event will feature participants showcasing their swine for a chance at victory. The entry fee is $35, with a late registration fee of $45.
The Class List emphasizes the importance of breeding consistency, stating that Breeding Classes must consist of 5 or more of the same breeds to qualify. Otherwise, participants will be placed in the AOB (Any Other Breed) Class.
