ANNISTON, AL — Get ready to hit the ground running at the Anniston Museums and Gardens’ annual Raptor Run 5Kand Dino Dash 1K Fun Run on Saturday, April 5, 2025. This family-friendly event invites runners of all ages to lace up their sneakers and race through the scenic trails of Museum Drive and Lagarde Park.
The Raptor Run 5K kicks off at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Dino Dash 1K Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. Registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run (plus credit card processing fees). Runners are encouraged to register by Monday, March 3, to guarantee a T-RIFFIC race t-shirt. The last day to pre-register is Thursday, April 3, with race-day registration available at an increased price of $35 for the Raptor Run 5K and $20 for the Dino Dash 1K Fun Run. Race-day registration ends promptly at 7:30 a.m.
The race begins at the Anniston Museum of Natural History, guiding participants through Museum Drive and Lagarde Park. For the safety of runners, Museum Drive will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on race day. Participants are encouraged to park at the Anniston Star building or the Calhoun County Health Department, with City of Anniston shuttles providing transportation before and after the race.
Racers can collect their packets on Friday, April 4, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Anniston Museum of Natural History, or on race morning beginning at 7:00 a.m. Following the races, an awards ceremony will recognize the Top Three Overall Finishers and winners in various age groups, including 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
