JSU has announces that respiratory therapy seniors Lindsey Couch and Macey Freeman have been awarded scholarships from the Alabama Society for Respiratory Care, becoming two of the three students across the state honored by the organization. Couch was awarded $1,500 and Freeman $1,000. Both plan to graduate this May.
JSU is home to the state’s only bachelor’s degree program in respiratory therapy. Ed Goodwin, program director, is president-elect of the Alabama Society for Respiratory Care. He and society board member, Jerry King, presented the checks to the students on Feb. 17.
