Sylacauga, AL – Central Alabama CrimeStoppers Offers $1,000 Reward For Information Leading To The Identity And/Or Arrest Of Person(s) Responsible For The Death Of Ja’Drean Mondrell Dykes!
The Sylacauga Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the person(s) involved in the City’s second homicide of 2022. At approximately 8:30 PM on July 29, 2022, Sylacauga Police Department responded to the area of Inglewood Drive, in the Drew Court Housing Community, in reference to shots being reported in the area. When Officers arrived in the area, they were waved down by residents near the intersection of N. Main Avenue and Sherwood Drive. Officers located 20-year-old, Ja’Drean Mondrell Dykes, of Inglewood Drive, Sylacauga, suffering from multiple Gunshot wounds. Dykes was pronounced deceased at the scene by Talladega County Coroner, Shaddox Murphy.
SPD investigators responded to the scene to gather evidence and photographs. Investigators have interviewed family members and witnesses trying to determine a motive and anything that could lead to the killer(s) responsible for taking the life of Mr. Dykes. The victim was transported to the Department of Forensic Science for an Autopsy.
