OXFORD, AL — Sam & The Big Boys, a rock and roll band from Gadsden, Alabama, will take the stage at the Oxford Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Built on a foundation of loud guitars, tight harmonies, and an energetic live sound, Sam & The Big Boys are made up of actual brothers who share a lifelong passion for music. The group has steadily gained attention across Northeast Alabama, developing a reputation for performances that blend familiar rock influences with a fresh, high-spirited approach.
In April 2024, the band released its debut EP, The Sound of the Year, a live recording produced at The Coffee Bar in downtown Gadsden. The project featured full video and audio production, photography, and a live studio audience, capturing the raw energy that defines the band’s performances.
Beyond recording and touring, Sam & The Big Boys have also invested in the local music scene. The band recently opened The LTD, a music venue and practice space in downtown Gadsden, aimed at creating additional performance opportunities for local and touring artists.
The group continues to build momentum with new material. In August, they recorded eleven tracks for an upcoming full-length album titled You Can Call Me Anything You Want, which is scheduled for release in May 2025.
The January performance at Oxford Performing Arts Center offers audiences an opportunity to experience the band’s live sound as they continue writing, recording, and performing throughout the region.
