Washington D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) has recently voiced strong support for several high-profile nominees in President Donald Trump’s administration, highlighting their potential to deliver pro-growth policies, streamline regulations, and empower American entrepreneurs.

Confirmation of EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin

Senator Britt applauded the Senate’s confirmation of Lee Zeldin as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She emphasized Zeldin’s role in reversing what she described as “partisan, punitive rules” imposed by the previous administration. Britt expressed confidence in Zeldin’s ability to reduce regulatory burdens and foster economic growth.

Application

“The Biden-Harris EPA instituted partisan, punitive rules and taxes that raised costs and put hardworking Americans out of business. The Trump Administration is committed to reversing the crushing regulations of the past four years, and Lee Zeldin is the man to turn things around,” Britt stated.

Introduction of Kelly Loeffler as SBA Nominee

In a Senate Committee on Small Business hearing, Britt introduced Kelly Loeffler, President Trump’s nominee to lead the Small Business Administration (SBA). Britt underscored the importance of small businesses in Alabama, where 99.4% of businesses fall into this category, and highlighted her personal connection as the daughter of small business owners.

“Kelly is the perfect choice to lead the SBA. She understands the struggles of small business owners, and she has a proven track record of delivering efficiency, accountability, and results-driven leadership,” Britt said.

Britt also praised Loeffler’s life story, describing her as a “prolific job creator” and a “quintessential American success story.” Loeffler’s career trajectory—from growing up on a family farm to becoming a leader in the business world—was cited as evidence of her ability to advocate for entrepreneurs and promote Main Street job creation.

Support for Transportation and Treasury Nominees

Senator Britt also backed the confirmations of Sean Duffy as Secretary of Transportation and Scott Bessent as Secretary of the Treasury.

On Duffy’s confirmation, Britt highlighted his experience in strategic infrastructure and his readiness to modernize the nation’s transportation systems. “Sean Duffy will be a tremendous partner working with Congress to fix America’s broken permitting system and move away from policies that derail critical projects,” Britt noted.

Regarding Scott Bessent, Britt emphasized his commitment to economic opportunity and pro-family tax reform. “I have no doubt Scott Bessent is uniquely suited to lead the Treasury Department. His focus on empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs aligns perfectly with our vision for America’s economic comeback,” she said.

Advocacy for Economic Prosperity

Throughout her statements, Britt reaffirmed her commitment to fostering economic growth, reducing red tape, and ensuring that small businesses have the resources to thrive. She praised the Trump administration’s approach to unleashing American energy and creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurs.

“America’s comeback will be led by Main Streets in every corner of our nation,” Britt concluded, emphasizing her readiness to collaborate with the administration’s nominees to achieve a “golden era of American prosperity.”
