“Linda McMahon will be a fierce advocate for putting parents back in the driver’s seat and returning to the fundamentals of classroom learning,” Britt stated. “After speaking with her, I’m confident Secretary McMahon will prioritize aligning education with our workforce systems to strengthen 21st-century skills training and job preparedness.”

Britt reiterated her stance in a recent column, writing that McMahon’s confirmation “will be a monumental step toward preserving the American Dream and making a bright future possible for the next generation of Americans.”

In a separate vote, the Senate confirmed Dan Driscoll as Secretary of the Army by a margin of 66-28. Britt voiced support for Driscoll’s leadership and commitment to modernizing the Army’s capabilities.

“I am confident Secretary Driscoll’s leadership will support our soldiers and modernize the Army’s cutting-edge capabilities and assets to ensure our warfighters remain the best equipped, trained, and ready in the world,” said Britt. She also noted Driscoll’s appreciation for Alabama’s military installations, including Fort Novosel, Redstone Arsenal, and Anniston Army Depot.

Additionally, Britt voted in favor of Jamieson Greer to serve as the U.S. Trade Representative. His nomination was confirmed by a 56-43 vote.

“Jamieson Greer is a vital part of President Trump’s America First trade policy agenda,” Britt remarked. “As USTR, Greer will hold foreign entities accountable for harmful trade practices, prioritize fair market access, advocate for our nation’s industries, and ultimately usher in a new era of American prosperity.”

The confirmations mark key appointments in the Trump administration’s efforts to shape education policy, national defense, and trade relations.
