        • J. D. Hess nominated by Commissioner Carolyn Henderson was unanimously voted onto the McClellan Development Authority Board. Mr. Hess stated he is honored to go back into public service where he has spent the bulk of his career. He also noted that he was proud of the growth he saw first hand as a commissioner and he appreciated the unanimous support of the current Commission and looks forward to being a part of the continued growth of Calhoun County while serving on this board.
  • Public Comments
    • ASAP held their 50th Anniversary Gala and they wanted to thank the Commissioner for there support and participation.

    • Milton Ford, owner of Ford’s Barber Shop on Bynum-Leatherwood Road, asked the commissioners to consider adding increased lighting and to sweep the emergency lanes after free dump days at the county dump.
    • Audrey Maxwell with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce has been visiting local hotels and businesses with the EMA Public Information Officer, Brittney Reaves to ensure they are aware of local shelters and emergency procedures. She also discussed upcoming events such as the AirRifle Match upcoming softball matches at Chocoloco Park.
    • EMA Public Information Officer, Brittney Reaves spoke again to share the importance of proprietors knowing about emergency procedures to help guide their guests to safe locations. They are also asking business to place a QR code in their establishments and to sign up themselves to stay informed.
    • They also are asking proprietors to sign up. The code is below and is available for all residents and tourists to utilize.

    • Dr. David West with the County Extension Office shared about upcoming Arbor Day events and Pig Auction.
    • Weave Mayor Jeff Clendenning thanked the Commissioners for their help in moving the polling location.
