Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Sylacauga Man

Fatal Crash

Talladega County, AL – On Saturday, February 24, at approximately 11 p.m., a single-vehicle crash unfolded, resulting in the untimely death of 22-year-old Courtney C. Gamble Jr.

Courtney C. Gamble Jr. was behind the wheel of a 2019 Toyota Corolla when the vehicle left the roadway, careening into a tree. The absence of a seat belt proved fatal in this instance as Gamble was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash site is located on Old Sylacauga Highway near Odena Heights Drive, approximately three miles south of Sylacauga, situated in Talladega County.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division Troopers are diligently working to piece together the events leading up to the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and details surrounding the circumstances of the incident are yet to be fully disclosed.
