Sparklight Spreads Holiday Cheer with Generous Donations to Anniston Nonprofits and Police Department

Anniston, AL – In the spirit of giving, associates from Sparklight, a prominent broadband communications provider, have made a significant impact on the local community by contributing to several nonprofits and the Anniston Police Department. As part of a company-wide initiative, Sparklight delivered a substantial 106-pound food donation to The Community Enabler and, in a festive caravan, provided $1,000 worth of children’s supplies for the Anniston Police Department’s annual toy drive.

This annual campaign, which focuses on supporting charitable organizations within areas served by Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands (Fidelity Communications, Hargray, ValuNet, and Cable America), has benefited numerous entities this year, including The Community Enabler Developer and the Anniston Police Department.

Maudine Holloway, Executive Director of Community Enabler Developer, expressed gratitude, stating, “We are very grateful to have caring companies like Sparklight help us extend our good work. Through Sparklight’s generous donation, we are able to provide so many more meals to families who need our help. Thank you, Sparklight, for helping us light up the hearts and homes of the hungry, the sick, the homeless, families with little or no income, and individuals who just need a little help.”

Cody Scheurich, Investigator at the Anniston Police Department, commended Sparklight, saying, “Sparklight did a fantastic job. They provided a bunch of toys and items that we drastically needed for the kids. Without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to help us as many families as we did this year.”

Julie Laulis, President and CEO of Cable One, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing hunger in the 24 states it serves through its annual food drive. This year, the campaign resulted in donations exceeding 10,000 pounds of food to assist food banks in the served areas.

“Local food banks are fulfilling the critical need of feeding at-risk community members who might otherwise go hungry due to the challenging economic environment,” said Laulis. “We are proud to support their mission through donations that will help provide immediate aid to individuals and families in need.”

Since 2018, Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands have collectively donated more than 51 tons of food and over $500,000 to combat food insecurity, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact on the communities they serve.
