Jacksonville, AL – The Spirit of Atlanta drum corps has been hard at work at Jacksonville State University (JSU) from May 28 to June 29, preparing for their 2024 production titled “Creatures.” This intensive training period culminates in a spectacular preview show on June 29 at 7:30 PM at JSU’s Burgess-Snow Stadium.
Spirit of Atlanta, a world-class drum corps competing in Drum Corps International (DCI), has a long-standing relationship with JSU. After returning to the campus last year, the corps continues to benefit from the university’s top-notch facilities and the warm hospitality of the Jacksonville community.
A spokesperson for Spirit of Atlanta expressed their gratitude for the partnership, highlighting the mutual benefits: “We are happy to be back again this year. It has been a great relationship since the school obtains revenue for the summer and we help support many community businesses. We benefit from the excellent JSU facilities and the wonderful hospitality of your town. The kids practice 12 hours a day every day and the dedication is impressive to watch.”
The upcoming event promises an evening of magical performances, featuring the debut of Spirit of Atlanta’s new program, “Creatures,” along with a special performance by the Spirit of Atlanta Alumni Corps. The show is set to start at 7:30 PM on June 29, 2024, at Burgess-Snow Stadium, Jacksonville State University.
