OXFORD, AL — Extended-Stay Hotel Planned for Leon Smith Parkway
StudioRes by Marriott, the hotel company’s midscale extended-stay brand, is planning a new location in Oxford at the corner of Leon Smith Parkway and Boiling Springs Road.
The four-story hotel is being developed by Darshan Patel, Vishal Patel and Harry Limbasiya and is planned to include 100 extended-stay rooms designed to accommodate guests traveling for longer periods.
According to information released about the project, the hotel will feature modern and functional accommodations with furnishings and amenities designed for extended stays.
The project represents an estimated $15 million in private investment and is expected to create approximately 20 new jobs.
Construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2026. A groundbreaking ceremony for the development is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
“The city of Oxford welcomes this newest, major investment in our city’s hospitality sector,” Mayor Alton Craft said. “Having been recognized as one of Alabama’s most hospitable cities, I am also pleased it is being developed by people whose previous investments have helped Oxford in achieving that title.”
