Anniston, AL – Per the Anniston Police Department on June 19, 2023, Anniston Patrol Officers responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Elm Street. On scene, officers found B/F Jasmine Nicole Whitson (29), from Anniston, Alabama, deceased from a gun shot wound.
Through continued efforts of Anniston Police Investigators, an arrest has been made in the shooting death of Whitson. On 07/05/2023, Marcus Maurice Swink (31), of Anniston, Alabama, was charged with Manslaughter. Swink’s bound has been set at $100,000.00.
