Anniston, AL – A suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide case has been captured by authorities, according to official reports.
On Wednesday, Tye Deshun Stevens, aged 23 and a resident of Anniston, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. He has been charged with two counts of capital murder in connection with the deaths of two individuals in Huntsville.
The Huntsville Police Department issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for Stevens following a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday morning. Responding to the scene at the 4400 block of Bonnell Drive in Huntsville just before 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, first responders discovered the lifeless bodies of D’Asia Monique Morris, 24, and Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar, 20.
Law enforcement authorities had reason to believe that the suspect was in the Anniston area before successfully apprehending him on Wednesday.
Stevens has been transported to Madison County, where he has been formally booked into the Madison County Jail. As of now, he is being held in custody without the option of posting bond.
