Swim lessons are a great way to a lifelong love for swimming. Regardless of if it is too enjoy water for fun, for athletic pursuits, or simple as a way to give your child something to do over the summer this is a great opportunity. All classes are held at the Jacksonville community center pool. Lessons are given by certified lifeguards.
Swim Lessons – Summer 2019:
Cost = $35 per person per session
Class length = Each class is 30 minutes long. Participants should arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time and be ready to enter the water at start time.
Class days = Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week for 2 weeks. Fridays will be used as a make-up day in case of inclement weather. In case of inclement weather, participants will be contacted by community center staff.
Class instructors = City of Jacksonville Certified Lifeguards
Session I (June 3 – 13):
8 – 8:30am = Beginner Swim 2 (ages 6 and older / not afraid to go underwater)
8:45 – 9:15am = Beginner Swim 1 (ages 6 to 10 / somewhat afraid of water)
9:30 – 10:00am = Preschool Swim 2 (ages 3 – 5 / adventurous towards water)
10:15 – 10:45am = Preschool Swim 1 (ages 3 – 5 / timid towards water)
Session II (June 17 – 27):
8 – 8:30am = Beginner Swim 2 (ages 6 and older / not afraid to go underwater)
8:45 – 9:15am = Beginner Swim 1 (ages 6 to 10 / somewhat afraid of water)
9:30 – 10:00am = Preschool Swim 2 (ages 3 – 5 / adventurous towards water)
10:15 – 10:45am = Preschool Swim 1 (ages 3 – 5 / timid towards water)
Session III (July 8 – 18):
8 – 8:30am = Beginner 3 (all ages / successfully passed beginner 2)
8:45 – 9:15am = Beginner Swim 2 (ages 6 and older / not afraid to go underwater)
9:30 – 10:00am = Beginner Swim 1 (ages 6 to 10 / somewhat afraid of water)
10:15 – 10:45am = Preschool Swim 1/2 (ages 3 – 5)
