Sylacauga, AL – A single-vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning has claimed the life of a Sylacauga man, according to authorities.
The incident happened at approximately 10:50 a.m. on April 20. Officials reported that James R. Jones, 32, was fatally injured when the 2019 Kawasaki Z650 motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck several trees. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 21 near the 214 mile marker, within the city limits of Sylacauga in Talladega County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
