Jacksonville, AL – Plan ahead for Take Pride in Jacksonville Day, coming up this Saturday, April 15. Do you have a rug that’s not quite tying the room together anymore? A pile of sensitive documents that need to be destroyed? Maybe a whole mess of paint cans you don’t know what to do with? Whatever you’re looking to clean up, the city has you covered.

Main Street Cleanups – Volunteers will spruce up the city by collecting litter on main streets. Registration is at the temporary City Hall located at 421 Alexandria Road SW beginning at 8:00 am on April 15.
Free Landfill Day – From 7:30 am to 11:30 am at the Jacksonville-Piedmont Landfill
7: 00 to 12:00 pm at the Calhoun County Landfill
Document Shredder sponsored by RMC – Limit six standard-size bags or boxes per vehicle; drop at Jacksonville City Hall from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Recycling & Trash – Items include cardboard, paper, plastic, electronics (except monitors/televisions) and paint cans. Aluminum cans may be dropped off for local animal shelters. Drop them off at the temporary City Hall, 421 Alexandria Road SW between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
