Take Pride in Jacksonville Day

On Saturday, April 16, 2022 is is the annual Take Pride in Jacksonville Day! from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm take advantage of the cleanup opportunities or come out and volunteer to help the city look more beautiful. Got a rug that’s not quite tying the room together anymore? A pile of sensitive documents that need to be destroyed? Maybe a whole mess of paint cans you don’t know what to do with? Whatever you’re looking to clean up, we’ve got you covered!

Free Landfill Day
From 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Jacksonville-Piedmont Landfill.
Document Shredder sponsored by RMC
Limit six standard-size bags or boxes per vehicle; drop at City Hall from 8 AM to 12 PM.
Recycling & Trash
Drop off at City Hall from 8 AM – 12 PM; items include cardboard, paper, plastic, electronics (except monitors/televisions) and paint cans. Aluminum cans may be dropped off for local animal shelters.
Neighborhood Cleanups
Get your neighbors together to organize a spring cleaning of your street or neighborhood! (Note: We’re fine with this happening anytime, not just April 16).
This cleanup event is sponsored by the City of Jacksonville, Calhoun County Landfill, Calhoun County Commissioners, Jacksonville State University, Regional Medical Center and the Keep Alabama Beautiful Program.
