Talladega Man Dies Following Two-Vehicle Crash

Talladega, AL – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:54 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, resulted in the death of a Talladega man. Troy D. Harry, 77, suffered critical injuries when the 2016 Ford F-150 he was a passenger in was struck by a 2019 Ford F-550 driven by Joshua D. Shell, 42, of Childersburg.

Following the collision, Harry was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Ford F-150, Vanessa S. Harry, 71, also of Talladega, sustained injuries and was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga for medical treatment.

The incident took place on Alabama 21 near Bullocks Ferry Road, approximately four miles south of Talladega city limits in Talladega County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
